Bucce is a fashion project inspired by the ecological fabric trend.
The New collection is focused on Autumn colours. Fabrics are all from good-quality vintage or used clothes. So the name "bucce", the colourful skin of fruits and vegetables, normally throw out.

The most original item is the Neckwarmer, made in unique-piece unisex collage of fabrics. Useful against coldness, wind and... boring grey of fog.

It is easy to feel, when you walk in Tokyo streets as Takeshita dori in Harajuku,

the light but strong necessity to express something about every personality:

everyone choose what wear for who to appear and seem. And be.

Another aspect is the total and simple way to change these looks,

it is not fixed and compulsory, connected with politics for example, but

closer to a question of taste and fashion.

If you something really strange is because it is really new, for the moment...

But the same person could change dress and manga and restaurant and music,

reinventing a character, a look, a way to move,

without fixed label... because nobady looks at you in strange way in this city!!!

Today many girls around for the Emperor Birthday festivity,

They wish to distinguish themselves, but sometimes seems a great and beautiful family of sisters.

It is a colouful, fashionabe and funny way to play and to say something about themselves, in a different way of the Paris jeune fille, but as interesting as it.

Spring and new projects have come together tihs year. After an earthquake (this is not only a metaphor), I need to express my capabilites more and more. A sort of challenge between the bad news and me.

It was not an effort, it was a wait. I have waited, collecting inspirations, sharing time with people I love, listening the soft sounds of time passing, able to change and model new sets and colours. So now here we are again. And new!

The new project, one of the new ones, BUCCE, came from far away in time. From Paris and a Spring past in cafè, chatting with friends about managment and fashion. And from so close, with a lot of time spent with old and new friends, suggesting each other about our proper field in art.

Some years ago I worked in Poznan, for an International Theatre Festival. I worked with an Italian Theatre Company, in many useful areas. One day I helped an talented actress, Ilaria, in pelling hardly off a Mickey Mouse from panties that she has to wear in the play (she need white panties and we were not able to find them.. and they were visible on stage!). Suddendly, she turned her face to me and said, ironically: "This is part of my personal catalogue The One Hundred Things I Have Never Thought To Do In My Life" and laughed...
From that moment I did or made many Things I Have Never Thought To Do In My Life. They were situatins, jobs, trips, meeting... and they were often indipendent from my will.
One of this episode, one of the most recent, was to draw a project for to young and talented synchro swimmers (Sara was in the Italian Team at Athens Olympic Games). I listened the music they chosed for the performance, I prepared 4 sketches, they choosed one, a tailor specialized in lycra made to work... They took part in a competition some week ago and they were qualified for a more important competition, in next months.
Costume Designer for Opera, Theatre, Cinema, Music video clip, Assistant and more...
..what a beautiful surprise, to be able to do a One Hundred Things more...

What does to work in Tokyo means?

I feel lucky for this amazing job.
Which kind of job? I'm working in Costume Design area for a new production of Così Fan Tutte in New National Theatre, in Tokyo.
The team is amazing. People of every age is full of curiosity and respect for me.
I have start learning a bt of Japanese. I have everytime a reliable and confident interpreter, Asako, but I consider important to be able to speech something basical sentence, with my colleagues, assistants and masters. I think is more honest and appreciated to do an effort to communicate with expert tailor, young and clever peoples in charge, smart men...

And about Tokyo?

Quando ero piccina e si accendeva la radio, in macchina, e c'era un pezzo di classica, si cercava di indovinare l'autore... pertendo da un'idea di nazionalità, di epoca, di genere compositivo.

Difficile come descrivere un profumo, a rovescio. E se facile, è troppo facile.

Anche questa scatola che respira ha un odore. E ha anche un suono, ma questo è facile da dire. Quello che è più difficile è immaginare il suono che non è nota, ma che si sente quando il mantice-polmone viene aperto, senza suonare, da una mano, che preme e trattiene, mentre l'altra è libera di esplorare...

Un respiro che mi respira con il suo peso, appoggiato sulla mia pancia, dove risounano le cavità del corpo. Il tamburellare, il ticchettare, il picchiettare delle mie dite ovunque non ci siano i tasti... Ma (!) quanti suoni può fare una mano sola?

When I was Working in Paris, this Spring, at the Fashion Museum in Palais Galliéra, I ad the possibility to spend a morning a week seeing original material about different subject of my own choise. So one days I asked for "Chanel"...

Her biography is well-known, but I had loved to see the picture of her life, able to describe very well the process of her revolutionary fashion idea and practise.

After a forcely protected childhood in coutryside (se was abandoned with her sister in a religious boarding-school), she starded working as tailor and.. singer. She knew a man, whon she became the mistress, and accepted to move in the castle of his rich family. A period in which she made costumes for parties, hat for female friends as hobby, and a daring way to conceive the way of riding horses.

A period of freedom and elegance, and more freedom when she had the possibility to open her first shop in Deauville first and in Paris later. She always refused to be as people expectd. She proposed a very free shape, without corset (first time in centuries!), absolutely confortable, smart and fashionable.

She proposed a different woman, who loved sun and fresh air, with short hair and.. smoker also.

Sometimes portraited with hands in pockets... never seen before.

Passionate and generous, while she was becoming richer and richer, she never forgotted her friends: Picasso, Cocteau, Matisse and many other: she usually paied rents or meals, if necessary.

This is one of my favourite photo. Gabrielle "Coco" (from a song) Chanel wears a smart dress, as her friends do. Near them, a smart and bored couple. Coco is with Arthur "Boy" Chapel, her lover. The physical attitude, the informal way to be themselves, has a special strenght.

For the whole life, she loved to play accordion, instrument able to relax her.

Her best: "La petite robe noir"!

Not bad, for a very thin girl who came from the provincial area and started with hats...

I am lucky designer. I have some Muses and they are able to ispire me, everytime I think to them. They are so different, so rich of dance, poetry, strenght, dreams, taste, thoughts, wind, wishes...
Their bodies are real, connected with sou and minds. Wishes from the belly, the hands, the eyes, the skin....
Marta, Annalisa, Madeleine, Veridiana, Elena, Giovanna, Marta Elizabeth, Robi, Betty, Silvia, Baby... They are really special, unique and different. I need them, because I think to them when I search the ispiration to image something very special to design to wear.
And sometimes it is very richful and grateful to image, crossing a sunny street or feeling the wind in face, that they are somewhere, as me, so far, so close...

Imperial Chinese jewels in my garden

Once upon a time, the daughter of the Emperor of China, beautiful but naughty, was walking in the wonderful garden of the Palace. It was a fresh morning and the girl saw something shining on the grass and leaves. Immediatly she went in to her father to ask for a shining jewel made with the small drops of dew she had seen in the garden. The Emperor called all the wise men of the Court and the best jewellers of the Empire, asking for this special jewel. The sages and the jewellers had three days to grant the Princess wish. If not, the Emperor had to cut their heads. The challenge was terrible, but nobody was able to make a jewel shining as the dew of the imperial garden

After three days all the Court was gathered and the Emperor, sit on the throne near the Princess standing, asked for the jewel. All the jewellers were trembling, but a wise and old man of the Court said: “Majesty, the best jewellers of the Empire were not able to make the jewel because they didn’t have the main material to make it: the dew of the Imperial garden. So they pleased the Princess to take some drops of dew for them, and they could make the best crown for the next Empress of China.” The Princess moved in the garden, followed by all the Court and jewellers and tried to take a drop of dew with her fine and pale fingers. But.. the first drop broke up at the first touch. The Princess tried with a second drop… but it broke up again, and the third again. At this point the Princess, red in face by the shame, understood the absurdity of her ridiculous request and decided to apologize for it. And when it was the time, she was a wise and right Empress.

A look more in the shoots of the L.AN.A. contemporary art project (Sale docks Venice gallery, last January). This are some of the not included photos. Me and Bernard, the photographer, decided to choose only 9 pieces.
These pictures composed a short story, protected by an edge of salt on the ground. An original female farmer dress of the late 19° century was set nera the photos, a present and invisible charachter.

80 years at the airport

Per festeggiare i suoi 80 anni, la Nonna ha espresso il desiderio di pranzare in un ristorante affacciato su un piccolo aeroporto, a Boscomantico, nella campagna a Nord-Est di Verona.

Voleva che potessimo vedere i piccoli aereoplani decollare e atterrare nell'aria chiara dell'autunno.

E magari far inciampare la vista su un paracadutista in arrivo, lieve e danzante.

Ha fatto una sorpresa ai parenti invitati, dando un appuntamento per tutti in un luogo e poi facendosi seguire, lei la festeggiata e io l'autista.

Mia nonna è una sarta, una vera signora, una parola buona per tutti ma l'intuito viene prima del giudizio. Ha una mente arguta e quando saluta le sue amiche dopo un caffè,
dice: "A presto, ragazze!"

Ha tenuto gli occhiali quasi tutto il pranzo, per difendersi dalla luce chiara che infastidisce anche me. Ma io non mi sono commossa come lei al taglio della torta...

Non avevo un soldo per andare da Rodrigo, impegnato nella sua nuova produzione, che aveva bisogno di una mano con i numerosi costumi di "Angel".

In realtà non sapevo neanche di cosa si trattava. Quello che sapevo era che lo spettacolo sarebbe stato un musical queer.

E poi, quasi per caso, mi trovo a lavorare sul set di un film inglese per alcuni giorni. Il tempo di mettere insieme i soldi per un biglietto d'aereo...
Sono entrata in agenzia viaggi e.. "Il primo volo per Buenos Aires, per favore!" E così ho lavorato anch'io per "Angel", insieme a meravigliosi compagni: Pedro Munoz, Gabriela Bevacqua, Nicolas Perez Costa, Magda , Sol e Maricel, Juampi, Julian e Nacho...
E naturalmente Rodrigo, il Coniglio Bianco del mio viaggio a Buenos Aires e nel suo mondo gay vivace e generoso, danzante e variegato...
"Angel", storia dell'angelo Miguel, inviato sulla Terra per scoprire l'essenza dell'amore, che gli si mostrerà con l'incontro con la ballerina del cabaret "Venezia", Gabrielle, in realtà il fascinoso travestito Gabriel...
Per scoprire che l'amore non ha sesso nè possesso. E con questa certezza risalire al Cielo.
Carnevale e Paradiso, angeli in calzamaglia o in smocking, musica e canzoni dal vivo, talento e fatica, travestimento e rivelazione... perchè all'amore non si può sfuggire.

Non mi ricordo la prima volta che l'ho vista, mi ricordo la prima volta che lei mi ha guardato. C'era voluto quasi un anno per vincere la timidezza e arrivare davanti a quel viso e rendersi conto che quegli occhi mi scrutavano da altre distanze, da prospettive in cui avrei voluto perdermi. C'era voluto un anno.. e le ho detto: "Scusa..." "Vuoi una sigaretta?" "No.. volevo farti delle foto con un vestito disegnato da me." Disegnato per il tuo corpo, dando forma ad un personaggio che abita la mia mitologia, scaturito dalle mie letture ottocentesche, che prende vita in questi corridoi squallidi che diventano palazzi antiche e foglie secche sulla soglia, portate dal vento, e capelli in controluce e parasoli neri abbandonati sulla sabbia...

Mi hanno detto che da piccola succhiavo gli angoli delle federe dei cuscini.. ghiotto cotone.. come il mio amico pianista gattonava fino ad abbracciare non senza sforzo le casse dello stereo.. I ricordi si pensano da soli nella testa, basta un profumo o un gesto di uno sconosciuto. E mi ritrovo ad affondare il naso tra i fiori del mandorlo già fiorito, trasportando il mio io a kilometri di distanza, dove c'è un giardino che amo in cui i mandorli non sono ancora fioriti del tutto...

Chissà perchè si tiene un diario.. Una necessità fisica, di scrivere, di trovare le parole per trattenere le ombre danzanti davanti agli occhi.. Sui margini dei libri o dei giornali, sui biglietti degli autobus o dei treni, accumulando scampoli di dettagli che compongono la giornata e il sentire. Raccogliendo la potenza in una manciata di parole, distillata tra pagine leggere. Io non rileggo quello che scrivo.. Lascio i miei appunti nella fessura del vecchio muro, da cui spio.. Pagine che si accartocciano come foglie, disegni che prendono il volo come aquiloni. Cammino sotto gli alberi, danzando da sola lo spazio, luogo dell'incontro imprevisto.. Danzo per me, perchè così lui arriverà. Le mie parole sono fiori che il vento soffia dalla mia bocca socchiusa..

..quel giorno Irma ed Elsa uscirono dalla città, raggiunsero le primi pendici delle montagne, si arrampicarono su una collina, uscirono dalla strada di asfalto, si confusero tra le erbe alte smosse dl vento. Si trovarono vicino ad una corte rustica abbandonata, chiusa come una piccola fortezza. Ma da un cancello socchiuso riuscirono ad entrare. L’aia era spazzata dal vento, erbacce tra le fessure di pietra rosa, verderame degli anni sulla facciata del fienile.. Entrarono nella casa senza uscio.
